A score (0–100) representing the overall talent of a recruit based on the level they have been recruited at. A grade of approximately 97 and higher equates to 5 stars. ~90–97 equates to 4 stars. ~50–90 equates to 3 stars. ~0–50 equates to 2 stars.
Traditional recruiting stars expanded to more precise determinations. E.g. 3.7, 4.3.
A percentile score (0–1) of a recruit's total volume of recruitment (quantity × quality) out of all recruits with the same class year. A measure of how high-profile a prospect's recruitment has been.
A percentile score (0–1) of where each recruit's overall grade falls amongst all recruits with the same class year.
A percentile score on a scale of 0–10 judging the athletic ability of a recruit relative to all other recruits of the same body type group and class year. Data sourced from public high school track and field results. A score of 5.0 is average.
A percentile score on a scale of 0–10 judging the statistical production of a recruit relative to all other recruits of the same position and class year. A score of 5.0 is average.
A mathematical projection of the appropriate level a recruit should be recruited at. Possibilities are Elite P4, High P4, P4, P4/G6, G6/FCS, FCS.
A mathematical attempt to assign percentage probabilities for a recruit to commit to each school they have an offer from. Derived from three main categories — strength of team, geographic proximity to a recruit, and selectivity of each school. Schools are adjusted to match narrowed lists of top schools when applicable.
The summation of each commit's overall grade in a team's class.
Traditional class score rating. Calculated by a weighted average of total overall grades of all commits and average rating per commit. No upper bound.
A percentage score (0–1) judging the impressiveness of each class relative to every other team in the country. The top possible score is 1 if a team had both the most overall points and the highest average grade per commit.
The average grade of all commits in a team's class.
The average profile score of all commits in a team's class.
The average distance from the university of all commits in a team's class.
The ordering of a team's recruiting board is achieved mathematically by balancing the desire for a team to maximize talent (overall grade) while also pursuing realistic targets (commit %). Recruits committed to a school do not appear on any other recruiting board than the school they are committed to.
Awarding 5 points for a 5-star recruit, 4 for a 4-star recruit, etc. The summation of all recruit values in a state.
